UH SNPhA helps at Westbury Christian Church

Yesterday, in conjunction with UT Dental School,  students from the University of Houston volunteered at Westbury Christian Church and conducted Diabetes Testing,  Blood Pressure Testing, Education on Mental Health, and Chronic Kidney Disease. Members of the public were asked about their past history of chronic kidney disease as well as their exercising and dieting habits, and how best to improve their health moving forward with proper meal plans and exercise routines. Along with Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease, students also advocated for Mental Health awareness, discussing its prevalence in the community and unveiling the stigma surrounding the condition.
