I joined SNPhA because I thought it would be a good opportunity to help the community. Learning about a certain topic related to pharmacy and being able to share what I know with others who don’t know as much is important to me. In the same way, I appreciate when others teach me things I’ve overlooked or never knew in general. I worked in a pharmacy before coming to UH and enjoyed it, so I decided to apply to pharmacy school and see where it would take me.

Fun Fact: I’m big on exploring. Finding cool areas, eating new foods. My enjoyment comes from doing as many things as possible with the time I have.

Howdy! I’m Khanh Nguyen, or people also call me Catherine. I’m from Southern Vietnam, but I live in Cypress, TX. I chose SNPhA, especially Operation Immunization, because I wanted to continue doing what I love—giving vaccines. The first vaccine shot I gave in my life was to a cattle for my Animal Science degree. I chose pharmacy simply because it gives me the option to work with both human and animal medications. My hobbies include painting, cooking, and collecting figurines from those blind boxes.

Fun Fact: If you see me around school, you might think my favorite color is either pink or purple, but that’s incorrect :) nice try
