11/14/14 World Diabetes Day
Hello SNPhAMILY! Friday, November 14 is World Diabetes Day (WDD). Today UH SNPhA chapter wears blue in order to raise awareness about healthy living and diabetes, a theme for 2014-2015! It focuses on the importance of starting the day by eating a good breakfast to help control blood sugar levels.
According to Healthline, Type 2 diabetes in children ages 10 to 19 is rare, but children of Asian or Pacific Islander ethnic groups are diagnosed at higher rates. (http://www.healthline.com/health/type-2-diabetes/statistics#2) #SNPhAFightingDiabetes #worlddiabetesday #uhcopsnpha

11/07/14 SNPhA's 16th Annual Alumni Dinner & Pre-Pharmacy Reception
SNPhA's 16th Annual Alumni Dinner & Pre-Pharmacy Reception was held on November 7, 2014 at the University of Houston Hilton.
Thank you alumni, faculty, and pharmacy students with outstanding pre-pharmacy students and pharmacy representative sponsors for taking the time to join us and network at SNPhA's 16th annual dinner! Every year, SNPhA strives to continue this unique tradition in order to recognize and show our appreciation to our alumni for their outstanding continuous support, both financially and professionally over the years. Today's event would not have been wonderful and successful without your presence! Thank you again and we hope to see you again next year!
