Angela House
On April 12, 2019 the smoking cessation committee hosted their last Angela House meeting of the semester. The women reviewed topics from previous classes such as the risks of smoking, nicotine replacement therapy, and how to plan to quit. We also played an engaging trivia game and provided them with nicotine lozenges to start their quit journey.

SNPhA x PPA Mixer
With the goal of smoothing pre-pharmacy students' transition to Pharmacy school, SNPhA pre-pharmacy liaisons collaborated with PPA to organize "SNPhA X PPA Mixer" last Wednesday April 3rd. Not only did the event provide students with a more vivid picture of life in pharmacy school, it also helped bridging the gap between the members from both organizations.

South Shaver Elementary Health Fair
Today members of APhA, Rho Chi, SCCP, SNPhA, SSHP, and VAPSS were all given the opportunity to go to South Shaver Elementary and provide health screenings. The UHCOP students loved being able to interact with the community who came out for this event. APhA’s Generation RX and SNPhA’s cancer, power to end stroke, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease initiatives also came out and were able to educate countless students and their parents. Because of this wonderful collaboration between UHCOP’s different organizations, we made sure the patients at the health fair not only received the best patient care but also learned about a range of different educational topics. We cannot wait to return next year!
