SNPhA/NCPA Alzheimer's Awareness - Bake Sale Fundraiser
When: Monday, March 5th (11am-1pm)
Where: UH Satellite
Come join SNPhA and NCPA present information about Alzheimer's Disease at the UH PGH Breezeway. Alzheimer’s is the sixth-leading cause of death in the country and the only cause of death among the top 10 in the United States that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed. In addition to raising awareness, we will be raising money for the Alzheimer's Association by selling home-made baked goodies!
We are asking your help to volunteer during the event and also for your donations. Please have your baked goods individually wrapped. If you can, we would like you to incorporate the color purple into your cookies, cupcakes, etc to keep with the theme color of the Alzheimer's Association. If you cannot, that is absolutely okay too! :)

IMMUNIZATIONS
Meningitis awareness tabling event
When: Monday, February 27, 2012 @ 12-1pm
Where: UC Satellite
We will be educating students about bacterial meningitis, causes of meningitis, signs,symptoms and complications that can result, treatment options and how we can prevent this deadly disease This will be a good learning opportunity for anyone who is interested in learning more about bacterial meningitis and its impact on our young adults today. Join us in spreading awareness about bacterial meningitis and the importance of meningococcal vaccines!!
If you are interested in helping out, we will go over important patient counseling points with you, so you will be well prepared to counsel. Please wear business casual with white coats.

HIV/AIDS
Omega House Hospice Home
When: Now!!
Join us in making a difference!
Omega House is a hospice home providing residential care to persons with HIV/AIDS at their terminal stage. Omega House’s main goal is to provide a safe and loving home environment where people with HIV can live their final days with dignity and in peace. Our eight-bed facility offers medical supervision, nursing care, pain and symptom management as well as emotional support and assistance with daily activities.

Glucose Screening and Diabetes Education
