This weekend, UH SNPhA partnered with Kappa Psi for the Harbach and Cleveland Ripley Neighborhood Centers Back-to-School Event in both Houston and Pasadena. During this event, pharmacy students had the opportunity to provide blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol and BMI screenings to patients, as well as provide education on kidney and mental health, HIV/AIDS, and stroke prevention. Overall, the combined event managed to impact a total of 583 patients. We would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Damien Fisher and Dr. Anna Kwan for serving as wonderful preceptors to our students!
