SNPhA Meeting – Executive Positions

Today at 12:00pm Executive Officer elections and appointments were held for the role of Vice President, Secretary, Historian, and Treasurer. Members were also reminded to attend the HIV seminar which would be held later today at 4:30-6:30 in Room 3082. New legislation regarding new generic medications was discussed during the meeting. Finally, we had former UHSNPhA president Gifty Gyebi come and speak about her experience as a P4 during rotations and the benefits of going to National Conference!

Health Fairs in April

Over the weekend, SNPhA participated in three health fairs at Health Fest Houston at Discovery Green, Navarro Middle School and Bear Creek Mosque with IPSA. Smoking Cessation, Power To End Stroke, and Community Outreach all came out to educate members on stroke prevention, smoking effects and proper diet and nutrition. 2nd SNPhA meeting in Spring

This Wednesday on March 21st in HSB2, our SNPhA chapter hosted their second general meeting of the spring semester with guest speaker, Ms. Juniel from the Cameron Juniel project who discussed hidden heart conditions in our young athletes today! Our chapter president reviewed upcoming health fairs discussed new Pharmacy Legislation, and we held our presidential elections for the 2018-2019 year! Congrats to Emy for becoming our new Chapter President! We even had our very own Dean of Pharmacy stop by to say hello! Currently our members are heading to New Orleans for our SNPhA regional conference being held at Xavier University in NOLA! See you all there, and we'll keep you posted!
