USAPL Cougar Classic Health Fair

World AIDS Day
Tomorrow is World AIDS Day, dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic resulting from the spread of HIV infection, breaking stigmas that result in mistreatment of those affected, and mourning those who have lost their lives. As of 2017, AIDS related deaths have been between 28.9 million and 41.5 million people worldwide, and an estimated 36.7 million people are living with HIV – this makes it one of the most important global public health issues in recorded history. Thank you to our UHCOP students and faculty for helping us raise HIV/AIDS awareness by face painting red ribbons and wearing red ribbons throughout the month of December in remembrance of those we’ve lost and those who we continue to fight alongside.
